Every winter in Cuyahoga Falls it seeps into hairline cracks, freezes, expands, and pries the asphalt apart. The Falls averages more than 40 inches of snow a year, with dozens of freeze-thaw swings between November and April, so a small crack in October can be a pothole by spring. A&E Paving is a Northeast Ohio asphalt contractor run by owner Eric Ring, and seal coating is the heart of what we do. A proper seal coat locks moisture out before the freeze can go to work, whether that's a driveway in the older blocks behind Front Street or a commercial lot out on State Road near Portage Crossing. When the damage is already done, we handle crack filling, resurfacing, and full paving too. If your blacktop is looking gray and brittle, this is the season to act.
